Nice choice of color and line. Is that a button? Was that your inspiration?

It's not a button. I think it's supposed to be a pendant but I thought the colors were perfect for this piece and it would add some textural interest. I already knew what my color scheme would be when I bought it.

The black and red are a great contrast, does make for a beautiful piece.

Thanks for choosing black. That is what I want to use and I like what you have done with it. I'm starting out with a black hand dyed cotton fabric and I just used paint sticks on it to give the background a little interest. I have to wait until the paint dries before the next step...whatever that will be. I also thought I would use my embroidery machine in some of the spaces. Sheila
