Instructions

The main pannel was patchwork pieced together, a boarder was added then quilted onto wadding. The back and front piece were pinned right sides together and stitched with a quarter inch seam leaving a 3-4 inch gap to turn the cushion back through. This became the gap to stuff the cushion with filler and was hand sewn shut.

Materials

Made from fabric, wadding, filler and fabric covered buttons. The fabric I used was from a 'Just wing it' by Momo layer cake.

What was your inspiration?

I designed this based on my friends favorite song 'stand by me' it depicts the first few lines.

What are you most proud of?

The colour combinations, a project can be ruined by bad colour choices. I was also very pleased with my friends response to it when I gave it to her.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have all your fabrics out and next to each other plan it carefully and don't go for anything too complicated or busy, I think it worked so well because of its simplicity.
