What was your source for this sewing project?

What materials did you use? Satin, Tulle for underskirt, Alencon lace, beads and crystals. Wedding veil: buckram, tulle, Alencon lace, tube beads and crystals.
What are you most proud of? The beautiful embellishments that I painstakingly included in the dress are what I am most proud of. The flowers were cut individually from Alencon lace and each flower was outlined using "seed" beads, which I sewed by hand, and the center of each flower was given sparkle by using flat crystals. The dress bodice was cut from Alencon lace, and embellished using seed beds and flat crystals. For the cap of my veil, I used tube beads, along with the seed beads, and added flat crystals for sparkle.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure your hands are clean at all times when handling wedding fabric. This was my biggest worry that I would get a stain on it. Allow plenty of time to construct and embellish the garment, especially if you use seed beads becauuse the holes of the beads are very tiny. After completion the of the dress, the embellishment was more time consuming given I was embellishing the entire bodice, as well as the the hem of the dress and the cap for the wedding veil. Once the task is complete, be proud of your accomplishment!
