Before and After DIY Project

FAll 2010

FAll 2010
Spring 2011
Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Home & Garden

Type of item: Plant or Flower

For: Home

Materials

We used all materials from our land....Nothing was purchased except the mulch, I split plants to fill new beds, we moved all materials and desgined this ourselves.

What was your inspiration?

We purchased this house in early fall of 2010. We decided to tell the builder that we would complete the landscaping, we new what we wanted and started drawing plans. We new we wanted lots of colour and different heights of plants to draw attention, we love wildlife and watching birds and insects so we incorporated plants to draw their attention.

What are you most proud of?

Everything!! It was loads of work, HARD WORK!! But the pay off has been remarkable, It is quiet and inviting to guests, becomes the conversation piece and the evening lighting is beautiful

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Always get the right equipment for the job!! If you have a plan and you find that you cant make it come to reality if you cannot move material or the job becomes to big, it is frustrating and sometimes we quit or change our dream plans for lack of organization and skill.....Always be patient and remember it will happen!!
