What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make a beachy cushion for my friend's birthday as she has just bought a new beach hut on the North Norfolk coast. I saw a similar cushion in a shop for 30 ($50) and thought I could do just as well and it adds the personal touch to a present.
What are you most proud of?
The freehand embroidery.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Draw it out first, then go for it and don't worry that it looks weird when its only half done, the stitching brings it all together.
