What was your inspiration? I have been waiting to quilt this until my skill level improved I would like to use different coloured threads in the light and dark areas. I envisioned feathers in the light areas ? how to divide and conquer. i woul appreciate ideas for the dark areas . and can I divide and conquer the light areas or should I Iuse a stencil.

Hi Sue, wow, I love this one too, as it is very geometric, I would put a free form feathers fill maybe using a clear thread

Another idea is to put a central stencile and then different concentric borders all around maybe ones in squares, others in diagonal and so...I`'m getting crazy :-)

It is beautiful! I love the piano key border.

Beautiful job! Love the colors. I would definitely use a cream colored matching thread for all the light areas...using a darker colored thread would detract from your piecework and look heavy. Love the idea of feather filler work in the light areas. Just ESS'ing in the darker areas is all that is needed there. Peanut butter cup...soft feathers with strong geometrics. :)

Wonderful quilt - the colors are gorgeous - log cabin looks great especially with the meander pattern in the dark areas - the border fits perfect. Thanks for sharing!
