What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's a pretty easy quilt to make, just decide how big you need to make it, then see how many colors you want in it. Go shopping and have fun. This one measures 50" w x 60 " L.

I love the dimensions of your quilts - I've noticed they are mostly between 50" X 60" and a little bit bigger. I am attempting my first quilt and want one around that size. How much fabric would you generally suggest getting for the front?

It depends on the fabrics you want to use. But if you look on line for how much you can get from a yard of fabric - you can put in the size squares - like 4" x 4" or 5" x 5" or 6" x 6" - if you draw it out on a paper - how many rows across and how many down - by the size squares - you should be able to tell how much fabric you will need.
