Who knows? Sometimes I think design ideas come out of the air and one idea just follows another.
What are you most proud of?
The overall look turned out just as I'd wanted.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
To eliminate extra bulk at the waist of a patchwork design like this, the strips need to be smaller at the top than at the bottom. After cutting the strips, I tapered them so the top was approximately 1/4 inch narrower on each strip.
