For the table mat, it is my own pattern, just cut out fabric to required size also the batting and backing slightly bigger, I go for about an inch bigger as sometimes it moves. Also a contrasting binding. once all pieces are together I used a basting spray this time, no pinning. and drew a diagonal line across then to have the spaced evenly I used the width of the ruler as a guide. What advice would you give someone starting this project?
just give it a go, you can use multiple fabrics if you wish, to use up your scraps. or find one with a print. The little bag is about 5" or 13cm high
