What are you most proud of? It looks just as I imagined/hoped it would turn out, YAY!

I would like to know the technique. I am also new to quilting and I'm in the process of piecing a queen size quilt for a bed. Would the process you used work for me and if so, where did you learn to quilt one block at a time. I'm very confused about how the finished blocks get joined. I appreciate any help? Your quilt looks simply beautiful, way to go!!!

I actually first saw it in a book I got from the library. Leah Day has a craftsy course, FREE MOTION QUILTING A SAMPLER, I believe she covers quilt as you go in that course. And she has very user friendly tutorials for FMQuilting on her blog. If your quilt is in blocks I don't see why it wouldn't work... and I must say, I don't know how I would have coped with my large quilt going through my domestic machine as a whole to FMQ!

4Bird, I was at the library this afternoon. The book I referred to is called Crazy Shortcut Quilts by Marguerita McManus & Sarah Raffuse

Love this! I'm thinking of doing Leah Day's QAYG method for my son's quilt which is blocks. I thought I could alternated the colours for the backings, however, I never thought of piecing them, great idea! Thank you for the inspiration.

The green blocks on the back "look" pieced, but it's actually 1 fabric I found that had 8 co-ordinating prints on it... kind of a quilters' "cheat"! Hope you enjoy the process of designing/making a quilt for your son.
