Baby quilt

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Quick-Strip Paper Piecing »

Instructions

The centre block is from Jungle Patches by The Craft Cubby. www.craftcubby.com.au

I used the open weave sashing from the Quick-Strip Paper Piecing course.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Infant/Baby

Style: Whimsical, Funky, Cute

Materials

Cotton fabric and thread, fusible web for applique.

What was your inspiration?

The quilt on display at the Melbourne Quilt Fair in July. But instead of 9 different animals, I doubled the pattern size and will be doing each animal on their own individual quilt. Finished quilt is 36"X48"

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have a go. It looks harder than it is. It is really only 'grown up' colouring in and cutting out from kindergarten days.

What a darling baby quilt! I love how you used the woven sashing, and that wild black and white striped border is fantastic!
