I did not have a pattern for this, my daughter sent me a picture of one she saw and requested it for a friend. I fussy cut the minnie mouses then I was going to applique them onto the squares but didn't like the bulkness. So I figured out how big a block I needed to make the center look balanced. This Minnie is a 4 inch square and the block finished at 7 inches with a 4 inch border. I cut a square of paper at 7 1/2, centered minnie and drew around her. Then I made a template for the outer portion adding a 1/4 seam allowance. Put two opposing sides on first and trim the long narrow points off so you reduce the bulk. Hope this is helpful, it was fun to make and my daughters friend just loved it.
