What materials did you use? Raw Silk, Silk organza, Silk cotton blend

What are you most proud of? fitting - there were alot of adjustments and the dress is snug but still allows full movement for dancing.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? the heavier raw silk was alot easier to work with than the fine liberty cotton of my mothers dress - I would suggest using a looser heavier fabric like wool, linen or raw silk as it is easier to work with than finer weave fabrics.

A very lucky Aunty - good choice to use bias cut for movement.

Your Aunt can rock it :-)

Great job! The use of color-blocking and bias panels really jazzes up the dress.

Fabulous. The fit came out so nicely and your Aunty looks great in it! Pretty use of fabric colors, like the texture of the silk!
