Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

Make the seam allowances a very scant 1/4". I didn't trim anything off the first block and very very little on the second.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Cute

Materials

Moda California Girl fat quarter bundle

What are you most proud of?

I made it through this one on this sweltering hot day. This one took me a few hours to do. (Maybe the heat is making me slow). Lots of cutting and sewing and ironing on this one.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take Amy's advice and choose fabrics that contrast. I choose the bright solid orange because out of all of the fabrics in the bundle it seemed to provide the strongest contrast. I like the way the double star turned out. Make sure of your measurements before you cut. I made an error but didn't realize it until I was ready to assemble. I had to redo about half of it.
