Love these color choices! I'm looking for something similar to make a tote.

Thanks, neighbor! (I am right in Havre de Grace!!). Most of the fabrics came out of one of the Craftsy bundles they sell (my new addiction). Good luck on that tote!

Thanks for the comments, Connie. Selecting the fabric is my favorite part.....I sometimes make myself crazy in doing so,though.

I enjoy how the print material pick up the solids in the center print...something I need to learn. Just beautiful!

Thanks, Pam! Yep, I think I need to get busy on a patriotic quilt. Since I am caught up with the Craftsy BOM (finally!), I have been working on a Christmas quilt that is coming along rather quickly. So....next one up is red, white &bue! So many quilts....so little time!!!

Beautiful blocks... really love these with your perfect fussy cutting! Well done you! BTW I think your idea of a patriotic quilt using both or either of these blocks would look super... can't wait to see.

Hi Eastern - I agree with you about the star. I love it enough to do more colors also. Have always been drawn to stars and pinwheels for some reason. A quilt for a solider would be perfect. Most any color would work, that's one of the beauties of this site.....to get ideas and see things I never would imagine putting together. Good luck with your projects.

Thanks, Surfside6. These set of blocks represented my first fussy cutting. I think I like these blocks enough (the design) to use in another quilt----say, a patriotic quilt done in red/white/blue. I make quilts for wounded soldiers coming into Andrews Airforce base from time to time and thought this star block would do well in such a quilt. Anyway, thanks so much for your compliment!!!
