What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The pattern says to remove the markers after you are done with the Mock Ribbing charts...but I kept them in place while knitting the main pattern chart. This helped keep my head on straight while trying to line up the double increase and decrease at the borders and figure out how to start off the rows that involve those ghost stitches.
It also was useful in conducting reality checks to make sure I'd done all my increases and decreases...I could just count pairs between markers and make sure there was always 20.
