What advice would you give someone starting this project? The pattern says to remove the markers after you are done with the Mock Ribbing charts...but I kept them in place while knitting the main pattern chart. This helped keep my head on straight while trying to line up the double increase and decrease at the borders and figure out how to start off the rows that involve those ghost stitches. It also was useful in conducting reality checks to make sure I'd done all my increases and decreases...I could just count pairs between markers and make sure there was always 20.

Wow! This hat looks great and looks like it would be warm as well. I love the pattern which makes your hat look extremely stylish.

Oh good job! Love the colors. And I will remember your tip on keeping the markers, I think I may finish the cowl and start the hat this weekend.

Looks like you did an awesome job. I have been practicing the decreases and cables in preparation for doing the hat. I am almost ready to get started. Hope mine turns out as nice as yours did.
