What materials did you use? US #2 & 4 needles and Bernat 'Baby Sport Solid - 300 yards for yellow sweater, a bit more for peach sweater. US #5 needles and National Yarn Crafts Natura Sport & Baby Wintuk & Bernat Baby Sport Solid for shawl.

What are you most proud of? That the plan came together so well. I had never "killed" acrylic yarn before and was fascinated with the way the process made the shawl stay in the square shape as well as made it so much softer.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Find nerves of steel. Getting that shawl started took lots of patience. My heart was in my mouth the whole time I was "killing" the shawl... for fear that I would accidentally touch the yarn with the iron.

This shawl is beautiful! What pattern did you use for the edging? I have the Ashton Shawlette pattern and this edging does not look like the one on the pattern. Also, what do yo mean by "killing" the acrylic yarn? I admire your ability to adapt the patten to the sweaters -- they are lovely as well. I have been refining my knitting skills with Craftsy classes (its working, I notice a huge improvement) I hope one day I will have the skills to adapt patterns as well.
