A friend was throwing out some scraps, so I rescued them and had enough to make two lap quilts

Gorgeous!! What was the finished size? I plan to try this for my next project :)

The finished size is 53in x 37in. You'll need 304 2.5in squares in various coulours and 40 4.5in squares in cream. Make up 56 squares using 4 of the smaller squares. Then make 40 knocked-off-corners blocks with the 40 cream squares and the remaining 80 small squares. You should now have 96 squares. Then make these into 24 8.5 squares and then into the centre of the quilt. I then used a cot quilt sized batting for it. Hope that helps
