What are you most proud of? I really can't believe I made this. I _never_ thought I would ever try beading.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I finally finished the reverse applique on the jacket just before Christmas. I thought I should try some beading before putting on the jacket. So I tried armour beading on this top that I had already screened the OM symbol onto. I tried the beading while I was at the hair salon. I almost finished it in one session. I love the way this looks! I hadn't sewn by hand for about 25 years before this class. Lots of machine sewing, but nothing by hand. I think I could get addicted to this.! This gave me enough confidence to start beading the jacket. I don't really care how long it takes. I tried to use the thread recommended by Natalie. I couldn't make it work. This is using Nymo. I made a sample with an assortment of beads using it and laundered it with about a dozen loads of laundry. The cotton thread I tried got loose. And the silk thread I tried looked like it was wearing. But the nymo held like a champ. I thread needles under a magnifier though. I use Bohin size 10 applique longeres beading needles. That needle fit through even my tiniest beads.

Thanks! I really appreciate the encouragement from you and others that I really could do some hand work. A needle is beginning to feel more natural in my hands.
