The apples in the "basket" are made of rice krispy treat (RKT). I hand molded the shapes of apples and applied red fondant over them and used my fondant smoother to smooth out.

I let the "apples" dry for a day and them took some food color and vodka mix and used a rough brush to brush some lines going from top to bottom and also splattered some spots.
