There is counting involved as there are 24 rows per pattern repeat! If I make this again, I will use smaller needles to make the seed st border. Next time I will use size 6 for the borders and size 7 for the body. It is plenty big, measuring 42 in square. I bought this kit from Mary Maxim. It is made with Starlette yarn, and I could pick any color that the yarn comes in. It is a worsted weight #4 yarn, and makes a good heavy blanket
