The Hidden Stars pattern is from Pam & Nicky Lintott's book - Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Quilts

I used thick curtain interlining instead of batting to give it a stiffer feel as it needed to provide quite a bit more warmth compared to most quilts. I like the feel.

Because of its weight and thickness, it was tied instead of quilted.

What was your inspiration?

This quilt had no owner until a young girl, the daughter of my best friend, said she wanted one just like it when she got married. It has been named 'When the day comes' as it will become hers when her wedding day comes around.
