Be generous with strips of fabric, I had to rip quite a lot... I've made two blocks to make sure that I get used to it.
I like the result, but give yourself time.

Sylvie - you should see the number of times I unpick so they are not always as good as I would like - sometimes the camera doesn't tell the whole story.

I know believe me... this one I did and redid it so many time and I had hard time to figure out how large I needed the piece of fabric...

I think we learn from our mistakes or I do but this block was for me particularly hard and don't think I would attempt it again. Yes I felt I wasted too much material on this block and now have a lot of scraps left. I think that is why I went online and got the cat paper piecing as it was a lot simpler.
