Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Toy

For: Children

Style: Casual, Cute

Materials

I started making them with felt but switched to fleece.

What was your inspiration?

My daughter is obsessed with Angry Birds and I didn't want to pay retail prices for the birds, they are rather expensive.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT MY PATTERN, IT BELONGS TO OBSESSIVELY STITCHING WHOM POSTED IT FOR PEOPLE TO USE FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY. I followed her tutorial and pattern to make the birds above.

These are easy to make but I suggest avoiding making them in felt. I started with felt because I didn't have fleece but they fray and bead quickly. They also collect hair and dust easily which is annoying. Use fleece! Much higher quality and they will last a lot longer. Plus, fleece is softer.

Thank you for sharing. Can I ask if it would be OK to put these, once made, onto my horse website for donations? I rescue horses & trying to raise cash for a field shelter for winter & think these would make a great gift. There is no problem is you do not want me to. I am going to make my nephew one :) Thank you again.

This is not my pattern. You would have to ask the person at the website for the tutorial.

I did not come up with this pattern. This was designed by Obsessively Stitching. I merely used her pattern to make the plushies shown above. It's a fantastic tutorial. My daughter keeps begging me to make more.
