Materials
I used 30's print for the log cabins and the binding and lilac with white stars for the backing. I quilted it myself with an allover random design. Hobbs 80/20 batting inside.
What was your inspiration?
A friend i work with wanted to give her friend something for the new baby. I made this for her after making the baby bag - photo in other projects. I just love the 30's print and had this for ages before I used it.
What are you most proud of?
The finished product looks very pretty and I think my friend is keeping it for herself! LOL Also I quilted it myself as this little size goes under my overworked home sewing machine well....
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time, square up your blocks as you go. You can chain piece the log cabins and it makes it fast to put together.
