What materials did you use? I used a hand dyed material from Connecting threads and lots and lots of couching materials. The heavier cords are ParaCord from Walmart. The hand stitching threads are from Carol Ann's kits (highly recommend the 4 kit package).

I am going to be cutting this one up for several projects, including a purse "skin." I have to limit my hand stitching because of arthritis, but love, love, love couching. I liked doing the special little touches. If you haven't visited Carol Ann's blog, she has lots of hand stitching ideas like the one in the detail picture. I found this one harder because the fabric was dark in a lot of places. I used black thread for all my anchor stitches which did not show up well here. Don't worry if you didn't leave that 1/4" ... I have some 1/16th inch spaces. :-) I also advise going back to view the class before starting your second (third) piece. I found I had missed a lot.

Wow! This is the first time I've seen someone incorporating an embroidery design from my blog on their Stupendous Stitching piece and it really gives your piece a beautiful focal point! Beautiful and creative! Thanks for sharing!
