I decided to attach log six on the opposite side of what was shown. I thought it balanced out the work quite nicely. I'm loving how this is turning out, and can't wait to finish the whole thing!

Zulma, changing the position of the last log doesn't affect the overall size of the square. I did it to help me "block" the square.
