What was your inspiration?
Adapted from a similar design by Wendy Kromer. I doubled the tier heights, changed the bows, and changed the stripe colour. Hers was inspired by Dior couture of the 1950s.
What are you most proud of?
The patience it took to hand-paint all those stripes.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Stick some music on, find a comfortable seat and get painting. You'll be there a while!!
