What materials did you use? 12 fat quarters and more cotton material.

What are you most proud of? Nice spring color even though the picture does not show the light yellow, peach pink, green and off white... still old cottage.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be patient, it takes a while to complete, puzzle to put together.

Just love what you have done here with the soft colours and the red as a contrast - what will you use as a backing fabric and how do you plan to quilt it? Would have taken quite a while to put all those squares together. Lucky person who gets this beautiful quilt.

I am having trouble finding a back for it, I think I will use a gold tone, or green. I am not too happy with the last border, but the material was given to me by Project Linus where it will go to a child in need probably a teenager since the quilt is pretty large.

I think I will cheat for the quilting and will give it to a friend with a longarm machine since I am not able to carry those layers around in my little sewing machine and a bad back...neck...

Thank you for your nice comment, it is easier than you think. If you have a chance to check the library for this book, you will see it is not too complicated, just be organized.

Hi Sylvie, I think a gold tone backing would be nice for a teenage girl especially for a child in need - gold tones have a richness about them and just my feelings say something special. It is hard to do large quilts on our small machines so I hope you have a person with a long arm who will do it either free or a nominal amount? I love looking at different types of patterns so will look to see if I can find this book here in Australia. Thank you and good luck with getting the quilt together.

Thank you Beth, I hope you'll find the book or maybe through Amazon.com, they should be able to ship it to you if not too expensive.

This is not a recent book and it was pretty cheap for me at halfpricebooks.com, shoot now it is much cheaper starting at $1.99 I think + shipping. Good luck!

Thanks Sylvie - I haven't dealt with Amazon.com before but will see what they have - can't find it with the book stores I use here or E-bay - will see what I can do. I have another of her books called "Fat Quarter Fun" - it is interesting too. Look forward to seeing your beautiful quilt finished.
