Description
A hat with a hem adds an extra layer of warmth around the ears. This pattern provides three sizes, as well as instructions for a taller, slouchy hat or a closer-fitting beanie. Here the Magic Cast-On is used to create a hem without waste yarn or sewing down, and it results in a completely elastic hem. Instructions are included for both a plain hem or a picot hem.
