Tapestry/Bead Cuff Bracelet

Project Description

What was your source for this weaving project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Project Pattern Link to website or photo www.mirrixlooms.com What are you most proud of? I am most proud of coming up with something that is completely unique. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use the correct equipment and be very patient and thoughtful as you do the piece. Learn to live with failure. If it doesn't come out right the first time that's okay, because there is always a second and third and fourth opportunity to make it right.

What you will need

  • hand-dyed silk yarn
  • size 11 seed beads
  • brass cuffs

Q&A with Claudia Chase

mary_kusk48470 asked:
I would like to know when you start your class
Claudia Chase answered:
I would too. I was contacted to do so a couple of months ago but haven't heard back since. Ask the folks at craftsy!
ndalton24959997 asked:
Would love to do this, but I am left handed and can't get the stitches to come out right. Any suggestions or instructions for lefties would be greatly appreciated.
Claudia Chase answered:
Have you tried this project on a loom? Being left handed should make no difference whatsoever. In fact, the Mirrix Loom is designed to accommodate left handed people.
Kari asked:
so where do i find how to make this?
Claudia Chase answered:
Check out www.mirrixlooms.com or our Facebook page (mirrixlooms). We do offer various options for learning how to make this project.
SUSAN2828 asked:
I love this!! Could you please tell me if you have items for sale? I could not find anything!! Great ideas for the Holidays!!
Claudia Chase answered:
the kit to make it is on our website: www.mirrixlooms.com
luella asked:
If I bought the kit from the website, do I have to have a Mirrix loom, or can I used my bead loom? Thanks in advance, Luella
Claudia Chase answered:
It requires a fiber loom, not a bead loom.
