First Dish Towels

What advice would you give someone starting this project? 2 yard warp would have been long enough for two towels (I had enough to do some sampling too)

Q&A with eileen-s

frangille2972886 asked:
I am a new weaver, what kind of threads have you use? 2/8 ? In cotton? What is the size of the towel? Tank you
eileen-s answered:
Finished size is approximately 35 cm wide, 64 cm long (not including the short fringe) The light color yarn is cotton, the dark is linen, both at about 1000 yards per pound, they are a dk weight or light worsted ... lighter in weight than the yarn suggested for the tea towels in Angela Tong's class. I used an 8-dent reed; I probably could have used a 10-dent reed for a stiffer fabric result.
10ashus asked:
Amazing. Better than store bought.
eileen-s answered:
Thank you for the compliment!
Katie Foust asked:
They are beautiful.

Thanks!
