Paper Roses

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I actually finished. The fiber was very difficult to work with. It feels amazing, like the softest thing ever. But it was so light it kept flying all over the place, and it was so slippery, and I was working on too big a piece it would get really messy. After driving myself nuts for a while I remembered the spinning from the fold technique, and I tried that and it worked really well. It kept each little piece neat and tidy so I could spin without it getting messy. I really love the way the gradient turned out. I really wanted to preserve the colors and see them transition into each other, and I think I accomplished it nicely.
