Project

Wrinkle in Time

What are you most proud of? I like the fastened wrinkles. The shiny brads peek through and catch the eye What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure the interlining and the lining are smaller than the exterior to get the right feel of the wrinkles and to ensure the lining sits smoothly inside the bag.

  • The exterior is cotton twill. The interlining is very heavy canvas and the "wrinkles" are fastened to this interlining with brads. The back of the brads are reinforced with duct tape - yes
  • that great old standby. Other larger studs punctuate the tabs and handles and the closure tab that also has a magnetic closure. Lining is nylon upholstery fabric which is my now favourite lining. Took a few iterations but now have the pattern figured out so will try another.
