Wool Nappy Covers

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Free diaper cover or soaker pattern Link to website or photo What are you most proud of? My adorable munchkin, of course! What advice would you give someone starting this project? 1. Felt the jumpers thoroughly before cutting out - run them through the washing machine with the hottest possible water. You may need to do this twice. Choose the jumpers that don't feel stiff or too thick when dry. 2. After sewing, make the covers water resistant by soaking in warm water with pure lanolin (dissolve in boiling water with a little baby wash first) - you should lanolise and dry 3 times before first use. They will feel a little sticky at first - don't worry, the lanolin is good for your hands and will mostly work its way into the fibres as it is worn on a warm body.
