Wee Mouse

Project Description

What was your inspiration? These little guys are the cutest thing ever. Because it's so tiny, the project is a little fiddly, but the pattern instructions are perfect. I didn't use any felt - just scraps I had around. Mouse is Harris tweed with arms and legs from a triple thickness of woven alpaca. Teddy is made from Pendleton wool scraps, as are mouse's ears. My daughter painted a bedroom wall backdrop and "hung" a picture on it. We made a second house as well - "at the beach," with a sandpaper beach, beach towel from a bit of striped washcloth, a painted view, and a drink umbrella (shortened slightly to fit in the tin) with a button for a base.

What you will need

  • Wool
  • cotton
  • and alpaca scraps; Altoids tins; paper and sandpaper

Adorable, what a great imagination!

Thanks - can't take much credit for imagination though, that goes to the pattern designer.
