Wearable Muslin Capris - V2948

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo Vogue 2948 Sandra Betzina's Princess Seam Pants Link to website or photo What are you most proud of? Sandra's Techniques have made it possible for me to do a much better job with not only fitting (I had just gone through her Pant Fitting Techniques here on Craftsy), but I gained confidence in construction using her methods. I love her use of painters tape as a seam allowance guide. I added a little stack of post notes taped on top of the painter's tape to provide a little ledge to hold the fabric up against. I also really liked her use of Steam-a-seam rather than basting, and use of wonder tape on the zipper. Information on pressing also added to my skills. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take time to use Sandra's techniques - some of which actually saved me time while improving quality. As Sandra said, the Concealed Zipper foot made for my Janome machine really is tons better than the little plastic thing I've had for years that slips around too much.
