What are you most proud of? I really love the effect of the pearle-cotton thread for the edging. I zig-zagged over it with monofiliment thread on the sewing machine, using as small of a zig-zag I could without danger of sewing into the pearle-cotton. I used a piping foot and guided the pearle-cotton into the slot for cording in piping. The pearle-cotton was sewed about 1/2" from the edge. The last step is to trim the excess tulle close to the edging. It gives the veil a very delicate, airy feel. I think it's absolutely gorgeous. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Veils are so easy to make, and cost a fraction of a purchased veil There are so many options for style, length, head-pieces, and embellishments that it becomes an experience in imagination and design that can be so much fun. Let the bride and the dress guide you through it and just go for it!!!
