Upsized 2X to 5X: Soft Floppy Jacket

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo McCalls 6516 Link to website or photo mccallpattern.mccall.com/m6516-products-16298.php?page_id=115&search_control=display&list=search What are you most proud of? Being a good little sewer and hand basting (with silk thread!) all the narrow hems on the outside edges. This was a very springy woolen that did not want to be pinned down. The bastng made edge stitching with my edge stitching foot very fast, so the hems look NEAT AND TIDY. I did hand-stitch the miters at the front corners. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Even though this is an easy sewing project, it does take some time and patience to make the seams and hems that show on both sides look their best.

What you will need

Q&A with Barbara Deckert

Scheri Manson asked:
Really pretty Barbara but scarey mitered corners
Barbara Deckert answered:
They're not hard! You could just square them off, too, or cheat and round off the corners!
