What are you most proud of? The ways this bag stands out from the crowd of upcycled jeans purses. It has some interesting, different embellishment that doesn't feel too fussy or shabby chic. It's also been somewhat better constructed than many I've seen, with a full lining and some other, more detailed construction bits that help provide this bag a better finished shape. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Let your old jeans speak to you. I rarely use a pattern when I'm upcycling. I just start with one piece that I like especially well and let it tell me what it could become. And then, of course, I have to be willing to go all fussy and pick things out and redo them a few times while my piece and I learn to speak to each other.
