Unfinished Edges?

What are you most proud of? This pattern makes you think out of the box. I like the change to the back and it fits really well. I like the raw edges for a casual dress, kind of cool but my husband keeps saying I have strings coming off my dress! What advice would you give someone starting this project? I wasn't sure how I would like the raw edges so I made sure it looked like I was doing it on purpose. I used a contrasting color and top stitched so you can really see it. I also raised the back of the dress 2 inches so I can wear a bra. It doesn't fall off my shoulders which was a big concern. I like the big pockets but next time I will move them to the side seam. Its extra bulk in front where I certainly don't need it.

Q&A with Janet Berry

jpnlpinlove asked:
Can you tell me what fabric you used and did you make a petticoat? I love that you made it more of a casual dress and that you drew attention to the unfinished edge.
Janet Berry answered:
I used a light cotton, probably about the weight of a quilting cotton. I'm not really a petticoat type girl, let that go.
