Three Musketeers Unite!

Project Description

What was your source for this sewing project? Online Photo or Website Name of website or photo McCalls 5214 Link to website or photo mccallpattern.mccall.com/m5214-products-6902.php?page_id=494 What are you most proud of? I am most proud of the fact that my husband is a willing and capable sport to his children's desires to indulge in fantasy costumes and pretend play. It has meant the world to a mom that always wanted but didn't get a girl so I could sew and indulge in 'pretty things'. What advice would you give someone starting this project? The back (wrong) sides of crushed velvet and satin are both quite sleek and I advise to pin often and thoroughly to keep movement to a minimum for stability in completion. Also, use the correct sewing needles for the correlating fabrics, especially vinyl. It makes all the difference in frustration levels. Most of all, enjoy the smiles that you will receive from your subject AND all the romanticists out there that will enjoy them as much as you will!

What you will need

  • Royal Blue crushed Velvet & satin lining for Tabard with metallic vinyl Fleur De Lis front
  • back & shoulder appliques & metallic silver trim. White cotton shirts and Royal blue stretch velvet breeches with elastic waist.
