Thread Catcher

What are you most proud of? I love the way it turned out! The finished product is very attractive and handy. Best of all, my mom loves it! What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a great pattern for mixing prints, so choose some that make you smile. A lot of supplies are needed to make this (ceramic tile, pincushion filler, boning, velcro, interfacing, etc.) so I advise ordering the supply kit from Curry Bungalow's etsy store, at least for the first one. That way you don't have to go searching for all the supplies, and you can see exactly what you need, should you decide to make more (which I will).

Q&A with dilettante707

melaniejs1125572316 asked:
Hello. Could I ask if you used a 1/4" seam on the strips for the pin cushion please? I have, but it's now too small to fit the backing fabric. I can't work out why this has gone wrong! Many thanks for your help.
dilettante707 answered:
Hi Melanie. I didn't piece the pincushion top. The print I used just makes it look that way. Could you add a strip or two to the end to make that piece a bit bigger?
rarspring17396637 asked:
Where can I buy the same ruler print fabric pictured above
dilettante707 answered:
The ruler print is from a collection called Potluck by American Jane for Moda Fabrics. It's out of print now, but I bet you can find some on Etsy. Good luck!
