The Pintuck Sassy librarian blouse

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I made samples before I started with the buttonholes on the blouse. That saved a lot of tears, time and fabric.... and its fun to have that little sample to be proud of. I think I have to frame it! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make a muslin ( I made a muslin before I made the first sassy librarian blouse and I am so happy that I did. I had a lot of work with the fitting and adjustments of the pattern before I made the blouse. Now I can do the blouse again and know it will fit) Try out the details on small samples before you start. That will save a lot of time when you make the final blouse. Follow Christines lessons and add her good tips and advices to your skills.

What you will need

  • Vintage seersucker 100% cotton

Aside from it being a really great blouse, I LOVE the idea of framing your sample button hole...and that you did them by hand.
Eva testar answered:
Thank you torilynn! I think samples are my new "obsession". I make muslins more than I make the real thing.... Are you making the sassy librarian blouse?
