The Olga

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I have a friend like Olga to wear this dress. I give GOD all the glory as He was the designer of this dress called The OLGA. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Find some heavy bridal satin and some good quality black dressy fabric, a princess style pattern with an empire waist and go for it. It did take three days to make since I hand sewed the zipper and since the dress fabric did not appear to have any specific wrong side, I did make a few mistakes and had to redo much of the dress bodice to get opposite sides but other than that, it was a fun dress. I made the flower by making circles out of satin in several size cups and lids and help a lighter to melt them until the edges curled. OUCH! I did burn my fingers. But it was fun! I then make a felt back and added a pin and a large crystal for the center. Pinned it to the right side of the bodice and mailed it out with PRAYER! It fit her like a glove! Thank for Lord!
