Sweet little girl pillow

Project Description

What are you most proud of? That I've only been sewing now for a year & that this project tuned out exactly how I designed it, Perfect! What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you have never crossed stitch before then give it ago, I love every minute of it, its so relaxing....... With the ruffles, practise makes perfect as I have found out! I don't have a ruffle foot on my machine. I just used a lose basting stitch which( i think is on every sewing machine). I now sew along the middle of my ruffle strip so that when I sew the strip to my main piece of fabric I don't sew over the basting strip. Which at the end, you can just pick the basting stitch out to leave a nice ruffle. Be careful when you sew the ruffle at the corner's of your pillow front panel, as you don't want to have a tight ruffle at the corners, which I have done a million times but a lot better now. Give it ago!
