Project

Sunburst Apron

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The way I used tiny little tucks on the bib to make it hug the body and flatter the wearer. I also love that the neck straps can be worn either crossed in the back as shown, or tied behind the neck. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Measure, Measure, measure! Be prepared to make another...this one sold the first day I took it to Farmers' Market!!! I have since made another in the same polka dot fabric, but used Maroon instead of the Salmon color and added another pocket..

What you will need

  • Twin Sized flat bedsheets from Walmart

Q&A with CMHastad

doubledee516 asked:
Where did you get this pattern? I love it.
CMHastad answered:
No pattern. I just started cutting wedges. The skirt wedges are 4" at top and 6" at the hem. The bib is just a half circle of wedges. I took a 1/8" pleat in the wide end of each wedge on the bib, (except for the 2 center ones). The pleats allow the bib to hug the bustline.
