Stitching Alabama Style

What are you most proud of? My daughter thinks its very cool and wants one. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Megs instructions work great for dyeing the cloth. I enjoyed having a project to sit by the fire on these long winter nights The technique is really easy but hunt down your thimble, the button hole thread through the knit can be tough.

You Can Make This

katkeesews asked:
I love Alabama style sewing~ What an inspiration! if you don't mind me asking, how long did this project take to finish? I'm considering making a skirt. You did a fantastic job!! love the colors that you chose and your scrap pin!! Excellent!! Thanks for sharing!!
Janet Berry answered:
Thanks! I logged some hours in on this but it really goes pretty fast. I think if you did a skirt and just did some work on the bottom it would be beautiful and not take very long.
