What are you most proud of? Right now, I'm proud that I figured out how to add a back dart, which I really needed for this to fit properly. I love A-line patterns, but I need a little more curve on the bodice. (I started this dress in August, but I am just getting back to it.) What advice would you give someone starting this project? Watch lots of YouTube videos and do an invisible zipper. Don't try to get all fancy on the interfacing! My original dress, which I actually could've worn, was put back into my scrap box. I tried to use a contrasting fabric for the interfacings like I'd done with my mom's dress. Well, I chose a Batik wax-dyed quilt cotton that was much too stiff and heavy. By the time I realized this, I'd already done lots of understitching, etc., and I just couldn't save it.
