Serger Stitch Reference Book

Project Description

What are you most proud of? This reference book has come in handy already! I did a Christmas project that required a 3 thread narrow seam and I knew exactly what to do. In the past, I wouldn't make such a project. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Amy is a delightful teacher. Go through her serger class and get overlocking!

What you will need

  • Three ring binder
  • Serger Basics class handout
  • lots of stitch samples

Q&A with Pamelyn

walvarez11719315 asked:
I paid for the class, heard nothing
Pamelyn answered:
Oh my! Contact Craftsy about that.
Amy Alan asked:
This makes me SO HAPPY to see, Pamelyn! I honestly use my serger stitch book all the time, and I love to see that students really do make and fill them out. It's so handy to have nearby so that you don't have to waste precious sewing time figuring out stitch tensions. Yay for you! :)
Pamelyn answered:
Exactly! No more saying, "It took more time trying to figure out how to set my machine up than it did to do the serging." I can't wait to add the embellished stitch sample pages in it!
Sharon Duncan asked:
Making American Girl Doll Clothes-pattern call for bias tape around the neck and arm holes. Not wild about doing it on sheer fabric. I don't like to use bias tape!
Pamelyn answered:
Serge a beautiful rolled hem instead!
mdmohorko1743342 asked:
Will I have to print from my computer? Or am I getting something in the msil?
Pamelyn answered:
You print the pages from the materials provided in the class and make the book yourself.
